About Mr Irfan Khan
During his training, Mr Khan has undertaken fellowships in aesthetic, microsurgery and hand surgery. He is now a leading Plastic Surgeon in North West England and is proud of his status as an NHS consultant in Hand and Plastic Surgery.
He works in the Regional Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit at the prestigious Whiston Teaching hospital in Liverpool. In addition, he has completed plastic surgery training in the UK and obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Mr Khan is also listed on the specialist register of the General Medical Council and holds the specialist FRCS (plastic surgery) qualification.
Mr Khan takes a keen interest in training junior plastic surgeons so invests a considerable amount of time in their development. Furthermore, he is currently the Training Programme Director in the Mersey area responsible for the training of plastic surgery registrars.
In the past, he has been a plastic surgery tutor to medical students from Liverpool University. He also holds the title of Honorary Senior Lecturer at Liverpool University.
